MEA offers three different types of electrical exam prep training to help you prepare for the electrical exam (view DLI exam schedule).

1. Exam Prep Course (2 days)
2. Simulated Exam
3. Q&A Session

Exam Prep Course - This class was designed by electrical contractors and industry leaders and created for electricians wishing to take the Electrical Licensing and Inspection Unit exams and obtain a Journeyman, Master or Maintenance Electrical License. It is an intense two-day review of the Code taught by industry experts.

Please Note: The Exam Prep Course DOES NOT provide CE credits

The exam prep class will help you:

• Brush up on calculations
• Practice with the only calculator allowed in the exam room
• Get used to looking up things quickly in the code book
• Practice using new ways of taking exams to maximize your chance of passing the first time

Simulated Exam - The simulated exam is a timed practice exam designed to help you identify the areas where you need to study. 

The simulated exam will help you:

• Prepare for the exam with the type of questions you will encounter on the test
• Become familiar with test-day procedures
• Closely indentify the areas in which you should study

Q&A Session - The Q & A session is a 4-hour open session where you can come with any questions of concerns you may have the day before the exam. It is designed to help you with any last minute questions you have. Come for answers to your questions, stay to hear other's concerns. Note: to attend the Q&A session, you must have attended with the past year or are registed to attend MEA's Exam Prep Training.
