MUSCO Lighting - Reduce Installation Time
Using the right product can reduce installation time and lead to significant cost savings. Take for example take Al Jacks of Adlite Electric. He has worked on many Musco projects through the years. From that experience, he estimated the 18-pole, 84-fixture Aurora softball project would take about 12 hours to assemble and stand the poles. He rented a crane for 2 days.
However, after the bases were set and the pole sections and fixtures were distributed to each location, it only took 5½ hours to mount the reflectors on the crossarms, erect, and orient all 18 poles, averaging about 20 minutes per pole.
Since they finished the project in one day, they didn't need the crane for the second day as originally planned. Jacks said the reduced crane rental and labor hours saved the customer "about $3000-$4000."
