Wage and Benefit Report
With a mild winter and early spring, the 2017 construction season is fully underway here in Minnesota. For many contractors, finding work isn’t the problem, so much as enough skilled labor to complete, let alone bid, on jobs. Apprentices and Journeyworkers have their pick in terms of which shop they will work for, and staying competitive as an employer is increasingly important for those who wish to retain top talent.
MEA’s new Wage and Benefit Report is an invaluable tool in ensuring that your business stays ahead of the competition by offering competitive wages and employee benefits. Every two years, MEA collects data based on survey results. The information we collect includes wages and benefits electrical contractors offer to Journeyworkers and Apprentices for both unions and open shops.
In previous reports, participants were identified by their county. New this year, to ensure complete anonymity, participants will be identified only by the general area of Minnesota in which their business is located.
The new report is currently available. Those who participated in the survey have already received their free copy. MEA members who chose not to participate in the survey can still purchase a copy at a reduced rate, so go online or call our office to order yours today.

Also coming this Spring is the 2017-2018 Electrical Industry Directory, MEA’s premier biannual guide to the electrical industry. This MEA resource is the only place you can quickly find:
