We Are Still Here for You!

by Clara DeRosier, Executive Director

The Electrical Association is honored to be serving an essential industry during this pandemic. We know that our role is more important than ever to continue to provide you with tools and resources that you need to be healthy and successful through this. That is why we are constantly reading, learning and searching for solutions to help you out. Continue to look at our COVID resource page on our website and don’t hesitate to pick up the phone to call us for whatever you might need. If we don’t know the answer right then, we will find it with you. We are your partner through this and an organization that you can rely on.

Things have just been looking a bit different for us lately as they do in all of your businesses. We conducted our very first virtual annual board of directors meeting on Wednesday, April 15. A few things to note:
• Jay Lewis (Lewis Electrical Contracting & Consulting Services Inc) appointed as the new Secretary of the Board of Directors
• Jayson Oswald (Landmark Electric Inc) appointed as a Director on the Board of Directors
• Dale Jackson (Jackson Electric Inc) appointed as a Director on the Board of Directors

We are so grateful to have these individuals giving guidance and support through their leadership.
Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Association were amended, restated and approved. These have been sent out to membership as a whole to get approval of adoption.

Our plan to launch the Association’s new logo and brand at the NCEL Expo was unable to happen a couple of weeks ago. So please, keep your eyes open in mid-May for our virtual launch and brand new website. We are excited to share our new tagline, dynamic logo, bold color palette, and energized design sensibility. Our refreshed brand better reflects the connectedness of our membership and our commitment to helping members more easily navigate an ever-changing business landscape. We will continue to launch new items that support and empower contractors.

For over 90 years, Electrical Association has been supporting electrical contractors in Minnesota and beyond. Offering access to what electrical contractors need to succeed and thrive in today’s marketplace, Electrical Association serves as a conduit to information, education, connections, and protection.

Again, please let us know how we can help you.
