With a combination of industry ideas/expertise and hard working dedicated staff to execute, the offerings and benefits for electrical contractors provided by the Electrical Association are more robust and relevant to your business needs than any other organization.

Standing Committees:

Education Committee

Ensure the type of training that you need is being developed and available.
Keep the Association as a leader in education providers.
Have an opportunity to learn from peers about new code, regulations and safety requirements on a regular basis. 

Membership Committee

Help build new programs and member benefits that you are interested in taking advantage of.
Be the first to know about new offerings.
Real time knowledge about the workforce development programs that you can hire from.
 

Government Action Committee

 

  Drive policy on licensing, inspections, and other regulations that affect electrical contractors.
Be first to know about proposed new regulations and revisions to regulations.
If you are not driving change, it will drive you.

Product Service Committee

  • Provide input on current advertising and sponsorship programs
  • Develop new ways for companies who offer Products and Services to members to connect with them to show how they can make business easier for them
  • Be the first to know about upcoming engagement opportunities with Electrical Contractors

  • Provide vision and strategic direction for the industry.
  • Converse with the top industry leaders about business issues around the state.

  • Govern the Associations 501(c)3 Trust entity

Qualifications
  • Must be a member of the Electrical Association (electrical contractor, employee of an electrical contractor, associate member, retired member, affiliate, corporate or product service member).
  • Must be familiar with or willing to educate yourself about the Electrical Association offerings and benefits.
Expectations
  • 3-5 online zoom meetings per year (1 hour each) - for committees.  Board meetings may be in person, chair's choice.
  • Email Communications in-between meetings as needed. This can vary depending on projects.  Wiling to participate and provide guidance on the questions and projects from staff in-between meetings.
  • 2 Year Commitment with additional opportunities to renew your Committee status.
