Jay Tornquist, Willmar Electric…
Our deepest sympathies to the family & friends of Jay Tornquist, 63, who died Nov 9. Jay was a loyal and beloved employee of Willmar Electric Service for the last 24 years.
Previous jobs included being a Youth Pastor at Kerkhoven Evangelical Free Church, coaching football at KMS high school, and teaching at Community Christian School in Willmar. He was active in his church, teaching Bible Instruction Class for years and was also on the elder board at Living Hope. Jay miraculously overcame leukemia in 2016. Since then, he has not only been cancer-free, but was determined to live every day to the fullest and for God’s glory.
When asked how he was doing, he would say, “Every day is a blessing!” He was a devoted and affectionate husband, the most loving and supportive father to his kids, a cherished grandfather, the solid rock of his family, a loyal friend, a wise teacher, and the best listener in the world. He had a special way of making every individual feel seen and welcome, and could give a positive perspective to any situation. He was so many things to so many people and will be deeply missed on this earth.

Congratulations to Clara, Jon and Bella Albert! They welcomed Louis Weller Albert to their family on November 10 at 1:42pm.
(8lbs 8oz - 21.5 inches long).
We hear he is the sweetest little boy and sleeping pretty well for mom and dad! Big sister Bella is so in love too and holds him and feeds him all the time.

Congratulations to Samuel, a 3rd Year Apprentice, and his wife, Laurie! They welcomed their first child—a sweet little daughter—to the family during Thanksgiving week. What a blessing!
Congratulations to Karen & Gerry Maine…
After 32 years in business, Karen's Electric has decided to retire as of December 31. Thank you to Karen for her leadership as a previous Chair of the Board of Directors and for everything she and Gerry have done for the industry. Future plans include lots of travel! We hope they have a wonderful retirement and keep in touch with us!

The Upper Midwest Electrical Expo 2020 has been delayed… The new dates for the next Expo is Dec 8-9, 2021. After monitoring the COVID situation closely, the Expo cannot happen safely this year.
