Congratulations... Corky Brommenschenkel, owner of Ada Electric in Ada, Minnesota, on his retirement! His son Paul is purchasing the business. Corky and Ada Electric have been members of MEA since 1973. Ada Electric specializes in a broad range of electrical services including underground utility construction.

Congratulations... Richard P. Owen is retiring after 30 years with the City of St. Paul and 36+ years in the electrical industry. He plans on still remaining active with the IAEI. We wish Dick the best in his retirement.

commnewsstjamesCongratulations... St. James Electric and owners, Mike and Ellie Kulseth, who were named Business of the Year by the St. James Chamber of Commerce in 2008. They have been certified by Terra Therm and Econar to install and do maintenance on geothermal heating and cooling systems. To date they have installed 16 units since the spring of 2008. New leader for Minnesota AFL-CIO... Shar Knutson has been elected the first woman president in the 53-year history of the 300,000-member union group. The Minnesota AFL-CIO is an umbrella group for 1100 affiliated local and regional unions including the IBEW.

Trish and Tom HengCongratulations... MEA members Trish and Tom Heng became grandparents on August 3. Logan John Felton weighed in at 7lb 15oz and 21½ in long.
