Individual License Renewals

Renewal notices for licensed and unlicensed workers are being sent out by the state approximately 60 days in advance of the expiration date. If you have not received your notice and your license is up for renewal, the state has now made available online renewal and change of address forms. Click on this link for a list of forms and return the proper form with:

  1. Your check payable to the Department of Labor and Industry for $80 (for masters), $30 (for journeyman)  and $20 for unlicensed workers plus any additional surcharge.
  2. Send to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, Construction Codes and Licensing Division, Licensing and Certification Services, 443 Lafayette Road North, St. Paul, MN 55155-4342, Phone: (651) 284-5080 Fax: (651) 284-5743
  3. Go to the DOL web site to make sure your continuing education credits have been entered and to determine when your license is due to renew.
