John Kuntz of Kuntz Electric, Rochester, MN, is the Chair of

he previously served as the Vice Chair. John has
been a member of MEA since 1990. He and his wife, Karen, have three daughters. John’s
hobbies include baseball, music, and collector cars. John’s other elected

Council, and Dispute Resolution Committee. John’s volunteer activities have
included coaching for softball, soccer, and basketball. John is a member of MEA

children and ten grandchildren. Jim’s hobbies include skiing and rollerblading.

and as an usher, Eucharist minister, and reader in his church. Jim is a member of

Bill Hoskins Sr. of Hoskins Electric Inc, Houston, MN, is
a representative for District 1 on the Board of Directors. He has served in this
position since April 2007. He has been a member of MEA since 1982. Bill and his wife,
Dorothy, started their business in 1975. They have two sons, Willy and Steve, and four
grandchildren. Every weekend he and his family travel to their boathouse in Brownsville.
Bill loves to garden and play the piano and sing with his friends. Bill is on the Board
of Directors of the Valley View Nursing Home, he is a Knights of Columbus and a member
of his community's local celebration "Houston Hoedown" Days. Bill is a member
of MEA because MEA keeps him abreast of the latest trends of the electrical industry. And
he "likes tossing ideas around with the other members."
Bill has served on the Board of Directors and the Insurance, Safety, Metro, Continuing
Education, Membership, Product Service, Publications, Government Action and Electric
Training Network Trustees Committees.

2006. He has been a member of MEA since 1979. Bruce and his wife, Robin, have three
children. He and his family enjoy 4-H, church, and wagon trains together. Bruce’s
hobbies include woodworking, collecting old woodworking tools, driving horses, and
Cushman motor scooters. Bruce’s other elected positions include Butterfield
Steam and Gas Engine Show Director and Treasurer of the Darfur Fire Department’s
Special Fund. He volunteers on the Darfur Fire Department and fundraisers for the
Prairie Roads Wagon Train for Camp Courage. Bruce is a member of MEA because he
wants “to be a member of an organization that lets me network with other contractors
across the state, has continuing education courses, and lobbies on my behalf at
the state capitol.”
Bruce has served on the Board of Directors, Low Voltage, Building, and Government
Action Committees.

in this position since April 2007. Joel and his wife, Lynn, have two young sons, Max
and Jackson. He and his family enjoy traveling, BBQs, and Twins and Vikings games.
Joel's electrical projects have taken him to eight different states as well as
international travel to Indonesia, Philippines, and Mexico. He is a co-owner of a land
development company involved in building spec houses, and he is currently taking classes
to become a licensed home/building inspector. Joel has been a member of MEA since 2007.
"As an MEA instructor for the last seven years, I've had opportunities to meet many
members from around the state and to hear about the benefits that MEA has for contractors.
I feel I can make contributions to the association by sitting on committees, and my
company can benefit as well."
Joel has been a trainer for MEA's NEC Code Training since 2002.
