2013 Spring Conference

The MEA Gear Up for Spring Conference 2013 was a huge success! Thank you to our sponsors and to everyone who participated. Key conference highlights started with a Day at the Capitol. Bill Strusinski, our MEA Lobbyist, gave our group a briefing on the legislation affecting our industry. MEA attendees were all able to take part in an awesome tour of the new Vehicle Innovation Center recently opened up by GE Capital Fleet Services, a world-class facility that provides businesses, industry groups and researchers with a first-hand experience with alternative fuel vehicles. One of those vehicles that our attendees were able to drive is the EXV4 all-electric utility truck made by e-ride Industries right here in Minnesota.

E-ride Industries was the brain child of John Herou (owner and founder) who was an electrical contractor at one time. The company is located in Princeton, MN. All vehicles are 100% American Made. The website has the full story of this most versatile all electric product on the market.

Our team enjoyed the demonstration at Parallel Technologies of the new Redwood Systems lighting & building automation products given by Pat Siebenaler. Redwood Systems’ Building-Performance Lighting Platform facilitates lower energy costs and higher-performing workplaces. This smart building platform powers and controls lights and a high-density sensor grid, providing both best-inclass energy savings and granular monitoring of space utilization, temperature and power consumption.
