This course is approved for 8 Continuing Education Code Credits toward re-licensing. It is designed for holders of the Minnesota Power Limited Technician License.  It covers applicable articles and sections of the current NEC, Minnesota Statutes and Rules governing electrical work, and a review of the basic elements of electricity and electrical calculations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many credits do I need in order to renew my license?
A: Eight hours every two years.
Q: What do I get when I take the class?
A: Upon completion of the course, you will receive 8 hours of credits for your license renewal and a certificate of completion.
Q: Do I need to send anything to the State to verify I have completed my continuing education?
A: No. MEA will send all necessary paperwork to the State to verify your attendance at class. However, you will need to complete and mail your license renewal paperwork with any renewal fees that are required.
Q: Do I need anything else for this class?
