2017 NEC Motor Installation Requirements Part 2
A continuation of motor installation part 1, controller and disconnect sized to meet the requirements of Art 430 of the NEC. Equipment grounding requirements and sizing of conductors and raceways are used in the motor installation criteria. Motor control circuits are reviewed as to the control conductor use, and overcurrent protection required. Special motor installations are reviewed and the application of adjustable speed drives is coordinated with the NEC. Finally, capacitors used for power factor corrections are incorporated into the motor installation with the calculations needed to meet requirements.
