Course Description:
Whether you're an entry-level employee or simply in need of a refresher course on overcurrent protection (OCP), this class is a must-have. It starts with an in-depth discussion on the theory behind OCP and explores the various types of devices that comprise this code-required protection for branch circuits, feeders, and services. You'll also learn about areas where OCP devices are prohibited and times when they should not be used. In addition, the course covers overcurrent protection related to AFCI's and GFCI's, as well as a discussion on different styles of fuses that are both current limiting and non-current limiting.
