Mike Miller, Director of Education

When Mike Miller and Marilyn made the move to Minnesota to be closer to his kids and grandkids in 2017, the Electrical Association knew that he needed to be hired on to add to our wonderful team of instructors. Every customer and student who worked with Mike gave rave reviews of his style, passion and expertise. When the Director of Education position opened up in 2019, we knew we had to talk with Mike. His background as an electrical contractor owning his own shop in South Dakota as well as his own instructing business for 15 years gave him all of the experience we needed to fill this role. In the 3 years since Mike Miller accepted the position with the Association, it is easy to see that the right decision was made.

Mike wears many hats as the Director of Education for the Electrical Association. In addition to updating the curriculum and creating new courses, Mike is also teaching many classes. He’ll be teaching several of the Apprentice Semester 2 sessions as well as 2023 NEC Code Update classes in South Dakota. Since joining our staff, he and the Electrical Association have partnered up to continue his classes in South Dakota every year. They love him over there, and for everyone involved it was a win-win.

Mike has been silently moving mountains with the rest of the education team, working to update our classes to the 2023 NEC. Thanks to them, starting this month, classes are based on the new 2023 NEC. Reminder to Minnesota Masters—it’s crucial that you get your 16 CEs before February 28! If you still need credits, we have beefed up our education calendar and we added a 16-hour ONLINE course February 18-19 (Saturday-Sunday). Learn more.
