FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I know which class to take?
A: The type of class you should take depends on which type of electrical license you have. We recommend that you identify your state requirements before registering for a class.

Q: What is the difference between a licensed and an unlicensed class? Are they worth the same amount of credits?
A: Licensed classes are designed for certified electrical license holders, such as Journeyworker, Master and/or Maintenance electricians. 2-hour online licensed classes are worth 2 credits.

Unlicensed classes are designed for registered electricians who do NOT have a Journeyworker, Master and/or Maintenance license. 2-hour online unlicensed classes are worth 2 credits.

Licensed electricians may attend an Unlicensed class for credit, and Unlicensed workers may attend a Licensed class for credit. The amount of credits are the same no matter which type of license you hold.
