Registered Apprenticeship - ETN of MN

What is Apprenticeship?

With apprenticeship training, there is a written contract between the apprentice and the sponsor, (approved by and registered with the state of Minnesota) that specifies the length of the training, school hours, an outline of the skills of the trade to be learned and the wages the apprentice will receive. This is a formal education strategy and should not be confused with registration of unlicensed electricians.

Why a Registered Apprenticeship Program?

• Registered apprenticeship is a proven training system that combines job-related technical instruction with structured on-the-job learning experiences.
• Registered apprenticeship develops highly-trained, skilled and motivated electricians.
• Registered apprenticeship is an investment in your workforce and your business.

Apprentices clearly see the investment you as a contractor are making in them as outlined in their apprenticeship agreement.  They also receive clear expectations regarding their roles and responsibilities within the apprenticeship process.
