All classes offered by MEA are:
- Approved for continuing education credits toward relicensing (Exception: Business
Management Training)
- Eligible for discount if you are an MEA member
- Taught by experts in their field
MEA offers:
- NEC® Code Training explains changes in the
National Electrical Code (NEC®) and fulfills 16 hours of continuing
education credits toward electrical license renewal.
- Electrical Exam Prep Class provides a thorough
review of the NEC® code, formulas, math, and theory to prepare for
the Minnesota State electrical licensing exam for a Journeyman, Master, or Maintenance
electrician. This class also fulfills the requirement for 4 continuing
education credits.
- Power Limited Exam Prep Class provides
a thorough review of the NEC® code to prepare for the Minnesota State
licensing exam for Technology Systems (Low Voltage) contractors.
- Apprentice Training offers classes designed
by electricians and industry leaders to train electrical apprentices. It is extremely
flexible and can be used for classes, small group study and/or self-study. Classes
begin in November and end in May, and are held one night a week at several locations
throughout Minnesota.
- Operations and Business Management Classes
includes a variety of technical, business management, and safety-related classes
covering estimating, OSHA, grounding and separately-derived systems, and NFPA 70E
among others.
